Denise Jackson, International Curator & Founder:
With more than 100 art events in fifteen years, Denise Jackson excels at bringing art and film to a broad audience through compelling exhibits and events. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavioral Sciences from National-Louis University and has studied with the Node Center for Curatorial Studies.
From 2010 to 2013, Denise ran a gallery in historic Castleberry Hill Atlanta, where she was a central contributor to Castleberry being consistently named Best Art Stroll in Atlanta. She has collaborated with cultural partners, charitable organizations, Consulates, and developers, including Selig Enterprises, Miller Galman, Aderhold, Jamestown LP and Cousins Properties. More recently, she has served on jury panels for Art on the Beltline Atlanta and the Municipal Support for the Arts with the Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs.
Denise's notable projects include an exhibt and virtual panel series with Danny Simmons, a film event with Quebec artist/filmmaker Marc Seguin at the Woodruff Arts Center, and exhibits with Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes. She brought Martin Frias from Barcelona to Atlanta for exhibits at the W Atlanta Downtown and ADAC, along with CNN and Huffington Post interviews.
She created tours in English for the Manif d'Art Biennale in Quebec City in 2017, juried an edition of Virtual Overture magazine, wrote an art column for Stroll Brookhaven Living, and has been featured in several Atlanta publications.
Denise is passionate about creating and curating well-attended art exhibits, film screenings, and cultural events in unique and exciting venues to engage people on a deeper level.
